Keep Dancing!


“Keep Dancing! You're an inspiration! I wish all my patients exercised as you do.”, Dr. Michael Lauto of Patchogue just said to me at my last visit after he checked the normalised blood test results of diabetes, hypertension, cholesterol, triglycerides, and increased good cholesterol results.

My health has improved significantly as well as maintaining the original 45 pounds I lost two years ago (also due to dancing).

My memory is better than it was when I was in my twenties and I am now 78 years old.

When I attend dance socials which are all over Long Island every night of the week and many during the daylight hours also, I am greeted with the dancers acknowledgement of a kiss on the cheek and a hug. I have made more good friends in the last two and one/ half years of dancing than I had made in the previous forty eight years to that in which I have lived on Long Island.

Most importantly I AM HAPPY. WOW! and Laughter Therapy improves ones immune system! Yet, I was very surprised when the last check-up with the Periodontist showed about a 50% improvement when for years there was a decrease in healthy gums. Arthritis and Osteoporosis is known to improve with exercise so that did not astonish me. Therefore, I tell all my Marriage and Family Counselor clients to try dancing because it turns your health around, helps diminish depression and is also a great stress reliever.
