XMas Wishes

My wish list for the year 2011.

I wish that:
1. Everyone would look at life with the most positive, happy thoughts that they can imagine everyday of their lives. Life is short. It may feel long because you may be approaching it with dread and negativity. Once you change that it becomes so short that you wonder where the years have gone. I am 77. I do not know how I got to be a great grandmother so soon. It is a delight. I live every day as if it is my last so that I will spread the joy around.

I wish that:
2. Everyone will have the best of health every day of their lives. If you follow number 1. of this wish you are more likely to keep your immune system healthy and therefore ward off many illnesses which come from the damage that is done to the immune system by living a stressful life.

I wish that:
3. Everyone will find humour in your life every day. Even if you have to purchase joke books and comedic movies to help you laugh. Laughter helps the immune system and you feel so much better afterwards. People are attracted to those who smile all the time. Therefore, Your social life will improve. Others will want to help you out when you need it.

I wish that:
4. Everyone will take time to express their love and appreciation for their loved ones daily.

I wish that:
5. My hope is that everyone will discipline their children with loving affection, but not allow them to grow up without guidelines. Make certain that your role as a parent is that you direct. not the other way around.

I wish that:
6. Everyone will thank the workers who service us with repairs, or any other type of work that they do. The fact that you paid them is not enough, let them know that you appreciate a well done job. The next time they do work for you, it will even be executed more efficiently. This reminds me of time that I was in the hospital and the patient in the next bed said she remembered me from 10 or more years before when I had purchased a carpet from the store in which she worked. I felt that it was incredulous that she had such a good memory. She said, “I do not have a good memory, but you were the only customer that smiled and thanked me in all the years that I worked there.” I was blown away that so many people walk around grumpy all the time.

So have a Merry Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year and make it every day and every year of your life!
